A LITTLE BIT SHABBY HALLOWEEN STYLE!

Well Hello Everyone

O-M-G!  It's October already!  I'm just amazed how quick this year seems to be flying by.

What do you think to my new blog header?  Thought it was perfect for October.

Now, a quick apology - I'm away at the moment and realised that I should be picking the winners of my Mega Blog Candy - DOH!  The good news is I'm back for a few hours on Friday, 4 October for a few hours before going off again, so I'll pick the winners then - sorry :

This is the first of two posts today so I do hope Mr Blogger behaves himself and gets them out on time.

It's challenge time over at A Little Bit Crafty and the theme for this month is "A Little Bit Shabby".  We have a couple of sponsors for this month's challenge and they are:

and

 £7.50 Voucher
I just lurve Octopode images :x - they are just so different but I really like that.

Here is the card I have made:

What do ya think?  Shabby?

Did you ever do something on a card that you wish you hadn't?  Well I've done it on this card - I've seen so many beautiful cards made with some gorgeous Frantage around the edges so I thought I would give it a go - not very good at it am I!  Lots and lots of practise required there that is for sure!

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Stamp:  The Octopode Factory - Bat Boy
Digi Papers:  Whimsy - Halloween Grunge by Michele R Designs
Edge Die:  Tim Holtz - On the Edge - Plaque & Postage
Clock Die:  Tim Holtz - Alterations - Weathered Clock
Frantage:  Stampendous - Aged Black Embossing Enamel
Film Strip:  Tim Holtz - Film Strip Ribbon
Corner Die:  Die-namics - Photo Corners

I have coloured the image with Copics:

Skin:  E00 E000 E0000
Hair:  C9 C8 C6 C4 C2
Clothes:  C9 C8 C6 C4 C2 / YR18 YR16 YR12
Shading:  W5 W3 W1 W0 W00

I have outlined the image with my Copic Airbrush using T3
The papers and everything else has been edged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink

And that's it.

Look out for card number two a little bit later today.

Thanks for dropping by and it would be lovely if you would leave me a comment so I can read them when I get back.

This is really in the mood Hazel - even though it is a cute image, it fits the bill nicely. I can't see anything wrong with the frontage - it seems Ok to me! I love all the detail in here as well.

Beautiful!

Hugs to you Sue Pxxx

This image is fab - a little bit different but very cool! I agree that Frantage takes a bit of practice but I think yours looks great and works really well with the 'shabby'/distressed feel to the card :-)
