Hi Everyone
Saturday again - already - another week has flown by - wow!
I've been a busy bee this week, so busy I haven't even unpacked all the things I bought from the GNPE show! Can you believe it! Just want to say a quick "Hello" to Lisa-Jane who kindly offered to meet me at the GNPE for a coffee with some of her blogging friends and they all made me feel very welcome - thanks girls!
On to my news ..... Net at the Totally Gorjuss Challenge Blog has asked if I would like to become a fully fledged Gorjussette - Whoop Whoop - How could I say no. Thanks Net it really means a lot to me.
So straight on to this weeks challenge which is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp - Northing Square About Me. Make sure you get yourself over to the Totally Gorjuss challenge blog and check out the absolutely wonderful creations the ladies have made this week.
This was a toughie one for me as you will have already seen from my cards everything is square about me - heh heh. I've always loved different shaped cards, particularly those nice easel ones but have always been a bit nervous about making one, so if ever there was a push to do one this was it.
So, what do you think? I was pretty chuffed with how it turned out and was surprised at how incredibly easy it was to make - I've been such a coward lol! Apologies for the picture - how difficult is it to get a good picture of an easel card! Hopefully you will appreciate what it looks like stood up straight rather than at an angle.
The recipe for the card is as follows:
Die: Go Kreate XL Frames Frilly #5
Stamp: Lili of the Valley "Rose Posey"
Papers: Nitwit "Promises"
Coloured Card: Crafter's Companion "Core'dinations"
Flowers & Seam Binding: Wild Orchid Crafts
Charm & Pearls: The Hobby House
I coloured the image with Copics as follows:
Skin: E11 E00 E000 R20 R30
Hair: E37 E35 E34
Top: V17 V15 V12
Skirt: V01 V000 V0000
Shoes: E29 E27 E25
Socks & Bouquet Wrapping: E42 E41 E40 B00 B000 B0000
Flowers: V17 V15 V12 B00 B000 B0000 YG67 YG63
Shading: W5 W3 W1
Outline: W1 W0 W00
Everything was edged with "Dusty Concord" Distress Ink and the seam binding was also coloured with it to tone in with the card. I have to confess I'm not a purple person and I fear I may have over-dosed on it a little too much on this card :os - what do you think?
Right that's it from me - happy crafting and have a great weekend.
Take it easy.
