A LITTLE BIT SHABBY HALLOWEEN STYLE!

Well Hello Everyone

O-M-G!  It's October already!  I'm just amazed how quick this year seems to be flying by.

What do you think to my new blog header?  Thought it was perfect for October.

Now, a quick apology - I'm away at the moment and realised that I should be picking the winners of my Mega Blog Candy - DOH!  The good news is I'm back for a few hours on Friday, 4 October for a few hours before going off again, so I'll pick the winners then - sorry :

This is the first of two posts today so I do hope Mr Blogger behaves himself and gets them out on time.

It's challenge time over at A Little Bit Crafty and the theme for this month is "A Little Bit Shabby".  We have a couple of sponsors for this month's challenge and they are:

and

 £7.50 Voucher
I just lurve Octopode images :x - they are just so different but I really like that.

Here is the card I have made:

What do ya think?  Shabby?

Did you ever do something on a card that you wish you hadn't?  Well I've done it on this card - I've seen so many beautiful cards made with some gorgeous Frantage around the edges so I thought I would give it a go - not very good at it am I!  Lots and lots of practise required there that is for sure!

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Stamp:  The Octopode Factory - Bat Boy
Digi Papers:  Whimsy - Halloween Grunge by Michele R Designs
Edge Die:  Tim Holtz - On the Edge - Plaque & Postage
Clock Die:  Tim Holtz - Alterations - Weathered Clock
Frantage:  Stampendous - Aged Black Embossing Enamel
Film Strip:  Tim Holtz - Film Strip Ribbon
Corner Die:  Die-namics - Photo Corners

I have coloured the image with Copics:

Skin:  E00 E000 E0000
Hair:  C9 C8 C6 C4 C2
Clothes:  C9 C8 C6 C4 C2 / YR18 YR16 YR12
Shading:  W5 W3 W1 W0 W00

I have outlined the image with my Copic Airbrush using T3
The papers and everything else has been edged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink

And that's it.

Look out for card number two a little bit later today.

Thanks for dropping by and it would be lovely if you would leave me a comment so I can read them when I get back.

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 147 - Sketch

Hello Everyone

I hope you are all having a fab week.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to pop and see you all yet as my internet and phone lines have been down - apparently due to a lightning strike!

But I'm back up and running - just - so I will be across to see you all soon - thank you for your lovely comments.

Well, it's Saturday again so that can only mean one thing for this week's Totally Gorjuss challenge - a sketch - yay - and here it is:

Remember you can play with the sketch, (I have change the oval to a circle), mirror it, turn it upside-down etc; as long as we can see that the sketch is there somewhere then you are in with a chance to win a voucher to spend in the fabulous Joanna Sheen store, (don't forget Joanna does free P&P!).

Here is the card I made:

I was asked to make a wedding card for a friend and the colours of the wedding are ivory, cream and green - so pretty and quite unusual I thought.

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Stamp:  Mayzy Art - Lovely and Dashing
Digi Papers:  Whimsy Stamps - Michele R Designs - Peony Garden
Flowers & Leaves:  Wild Orchid Crafts
Heart Hat Pins & Pearls:  The Hobby House

The image has been coloured with Copics, Flexmarker and Promarker:

Skin:  E21 E00 E000 / R20 R30 (Cheeks)
Eyes:  E15 E13
Bride's Hair:  E55 E53 E51 E50
Groom's Hair:  E35 E33 E31
Suit:  T7 T6 T5 T4
Waistcoat:  Champagne (Flexmarker) / Ivory (Promarker)
Tie:  G24 G12
Flowers:  Champagne (Flexmarker) / Ivory (Promarker)
Foliage:  G28 G46 G21

I have outlined the image and edged the papers with Bundled Sage Distress Ink

I will try not to bore you too much but there are some more pictures to come .....

Here is a picture of the inside cover of the card which details and Bride & Groom's names, date and venue for their wedding:

I would like to thank the lovely Bev Rochester for this idea - it really makes the card so special.

Here is the inside of the card where I have duplicated the front layout:

And finally, I wanted to show you a picture of the back of my card which my teamie Samantha did something similar on one of her cards to use up the scraps and I did tell her that I would 'steal' her idea - which I have ;o) and here it is:

Phew - and that's it - I hope you managed to get through it all!

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Take care
