DIES TO DIE FOR - SPRING - DIE-ING FOR A CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone

Hello to my new follower - Michelle Lawson - thank you so much for visiting me, I am totally flattered.

How are you all?  I have my main man down poorly, my little man down poorly and my Mum is poorly - I'm running around like a headless chicken!

I had a great time at the GNPE show in Harrogate; I got to meet up with lots of lovely ladies from Blogland and spent a whole load of money too - we are worth it though aren't we ;o)

Now this is a long post so I hope you will stay with me.

There is a new challenge over at Die-ing for a Challenge where the theme this week is "Spring".

Don't forget you can bag yourself a whooping £25 voucher to spend in the fabulous Dies to Die For store.  Wouldn't it be great to win with lots and lots of new products in the Dies to Die For store; but as always you have to be in it to win it so dig out your dies, Big Shots, Sizzix, Cuttlebugs, Grand Caliburs and starting crafting.

Now there are a few rules to observe which are:

RULES:

* All entries must have at least one Dies to Die for product on
* You can combine our challenge with NO MORE THAN 3 OTHER CHALLENGES
* You must link back to the Dies to Die for Blog
NO back linking, new projects/cards only please
* Only 2 Entries per person please
* Entries which fail to observe the above will be removed and will not be eligible for the prize

So what are you waiting for?  Get your entries in over at Die-ing for a Challenge and make sure you check out what the lovely DT girlies have made - beautiful as ever.

Today I would like to share with you a card I have made using one of my favourite stamps from Wee Stamps called Spring Bringer; she is just adorable and I'm hoping she will bring some Spring weather for us really soon.

Here is the full card:

The recipe for the card is:

Papers:  My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing - Lavender
Stamp:  Whimsy - Wee Stamps - Spring Bringer
Corner Die:  Magnolia Doohickey - Cute Corner
Flowers Die:  Memory Box - Fancy Blossoms
Butterfly Die:  Cheery Lynn - Mini Dimensional Butterflies
Sentiment Die:  Die-namics - Fish Tail Banner

The image has been coloured with Copics, Promarkers and Flexmarkers:

Skin:  E11 E00 E000 / R20 R30 (cheeks)
Hair:  E34 E53 E51 E50
Clothes and Wings:  RV00 RV000 RV0000 / Satin (PM) / Antique White (FM) / E0000
Flowers:  R27 R22 R20 / YG63 YG61

I have outlined the image with Phthalo Blue Tint Pan Pastel
The papers have been outlined with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
I have used a generous amount of glitter on the wings

Here is a close up of that gorgeous Magnolia Doohickey die:

As you can see I have covered over all the little holes with pearls.

And here is a final picture of the flowers:

To make these I die cut them out on normal white textured card and then coloured them with the Pale Pink Promarker and the darker colour is a Copic R22 - easy peasy huh, you can create whatever coloured flower you like.

Have a great week.

This is such a sweet card with plenty of gorgeous details! I love your corner die cut and how you've covered it with pearls. And your flowers are beautiful, I like how you've colored them to match the flowers in the fairy's hair.
