Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 117 - A Sketch

Phew another weekend already!  Where does the time just go too?

I hope everyone is good and I would like to welcome my new followers - "Hello" - I am very flattered that you have chosen to follow me so "Thank You".

Let's gets straight on to this week's challenge at Totally Gorjuss which is a sketch and this week's sponsor is the most fabulous Joanna Sheen.  I do love shopping at Joanna's on line shop as her prices are really competitive and there is no P&P - win, win is what I say!

Here is the sketch that we would like to you follow:

Yup, it's as simple as that.  You can alter the sketch slightly by using a mirror image or even turning it upside-down, as long as we can see that the original sketch is in there then you are in with a chance to win those vouchers.

If your stuck and need some inspiration then nip across to the Totally Gorjuss Challenge Blog and feast your eyes on the amazing creations our lovely DT ladies have made for you.

Here is the card that I made:

What do you think?  How pretty is she - just bloomin pretty I say.

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Stamp:  Saturated Canary "Nevaeh" by Krista Smith
Digi Papers:  Designer Digitals "Gingerbread Runaway"
Lace & Seam Binding:  From My Own Stash
Pearls & Pearl Button:  The Hobby House

Image Coloured with Copics:

Skin:  E11 E00 E000 R20 R30
Hair:  E37 E35 E34 E31
Dress & Shoes:  B00 B000 B0000
Tights & Frilly Petticoat:  E42 E41 E40
Outline & Shading:  W5 W3 W1 W0 W00

Everything has been edged with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink

For the eagle-eyed ones amongst you - you will have seen that I have been brave enough to have my first go with my new sewing machine!  I was an absolute wreck when I had to put my coloured image under the needle I can tell ya - (note to self stitch first, stamp and colour second!) LOL.  I have to say though I really do love the effect the stitching creates; I will have to be more daring and try a different stitch type.

Just to finish then - before I bore you all to sleep - here is the inside of the card:

I never realised how bad I am at getting my pictures to look like the real card - in real life the ribbon and lace is so much lighter than this.  If anyone can give me any tips on how to get the colours to look like your cards I would so, so appreciate it.

Okie dokie, that's it from me for now.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay warm!

Ta-ra.

Stunning card Hazel, I love all the gorgeous blues. I have to admit I bought this digi from Saturated Canary some weeks ago and still haven't coloured it, but I am itching to now that I have seen how gorgeous yours looks. Have a great weekend.

Beautiful card. I love this girl in blue. She is sitting uncoloured in a pile of new images on my desk and so want to use her. Love the embellies, so pretty. I use Photoshop and it is pretty good for getting your photos looking good.
