TOTALLY GORJUSS - EASY DOES IT

Hello Everyone

Are you already for the big day for when 'you know who' visits us and leaves us lots and lots and lots of crafty goodies under the tree seeing as we have all been soooooo good! ;o)


It's Saturday already so it's challenge time over at Totally Gorjuss where this week the theme is 'Easy Does It' - simples eh!

So, onto my card for this week:


Now, I must apologise for the absolutely pants photo - its so grainy; someone had been messing with my camera settings and I hadn't realised when I had taken these pictures but as this was a commissioned card I couldn't re-take them as it was winging its way to the receipient!

To finish the card off, I stitched around the outside of the card and added lots of Glamour Dust to the Snowman and Wryn's hat and dress.

So, there is only one thing left for me to do .........

Totally Gorjuss - Plain and Simple

Well Hellooooooo to You All

And a great big "HOWDY" to my new follower - thank you for deciding to follow my work - I'm truly very flattered.

So it's Saturday again already - sheesh, where are the week's going too - so that can only mean one thing - its challenge time again over at Totally Gorjuss.


This week we want to see all your "Plain and Simple" cards - sounds easy huh - but I got to admit, I struggle with the challenge - it's harder then some people think - for me anyway! ;o)

I stitched around the edge of the paper with my sewing machine but you can just draw any kind of stitch you want with a fine-liner pen if you want.

I have also used Glossy Accents on her glasses and all the Christmas lights but I just couldn't get a good enough picture to show you - sorry - :o(

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 155 - Things With Wings

Hi Everyone

Phew I'm so pleased to be back with you all after my two weeks away working at the NEC.  One of the first things I need to get done is to come and see you all and see what you have been making whilst I have been away.

I will take this opportunity to say "HELLO" and "THANK YOU" to my new followers - I am totally thrilled and flattered that you have chosen to come and see my little blog.


So it's Saturday and that means only one thing ..... it's challenge time over at Totally Gorjuss and this week's challenge is "Things With Wings".

I decided to go with a "Keep it Simple" theme but I think I might have ruined it by putting too much dark distress ink around the image.  However, I am reliably informed by my Mum that it's looks just fine.

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 150 - Thank You

I hope you have had a good week.

Grrrr naughty blogger - I had this post scheduled to appear at 5.00am this morning as I have been working away today and it did not post - so here I am posting it now as I have just got in from work!

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 149 - Rawr!

Hey Everyone

First of all my apologies for not being round to see you all on your blogs for the last two weeks :o(

I have been having problems with my telephone line and internet, but to cut a long story short, two weeks later I am back in business, (fingers, arms, toes and legs crossed); so my mission this weekend is to see what you have all been up too - can't wait.  Thank you all for your lovely comments.


This week's challenge over at Totally Gorjuss is 'Rawr!' and our sponsor is Heather's Hobbie Haven.  So to be in with a chance to win a voucher to spend in their store, we want to see all your fantastic creations around the 'Rawr!' theme.

I am so loving this little cutie!  I can just see him running around going "RAWR!" - love it!

I have outlined the image with Weathered Wood Distress Ink
All the paper and card has been edged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink

I used the Copic Colourless Blender to create a scale-like effect on his dinosaur suit by just lightly pressing the nib onto the image once it was coloured

And finally, I used a black fine-liner pen to create a border around the edges of the image and papers.

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 129 - Congratulations!

Hello Everyone!

Another great big "HELLO" to all my new followers - I'm totally blown away by your kind words and overwhelmed at the response to the blog candy - so thank you!

The weather here this week has been pants - tons of rain and then some more rain and to finally top it off just a little more rain - yuk - me no likey!

I made the little rosette thing myself without a die - I was well chuffed with myself even if I did manage to burn my fingers a couple of times sticking it together with the hot glue gun!

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 105 - Sketch

Well Hellloooo Everyone

A happy Saturday to you all!



This week's challenge at Totally Gorjuss is to follow a sketch.  I know I keep saying it but I love, love, love working with sketches :o)  So without further ado here it is:

Now this is the first time I have had a go at trying to colour pleats, but I've gotta say I'm pretty pleased with how her dress has turned out, even if I do say so myself ;o)  I have seen some truly awesome images that have used this technique and I am completely blown away by them and definitely need to practise lots more.  For those of you who are interested there is a fab tutorial on the Make It Crafty site and the link is here.

I have used 'Black Soot' Distress Ink around the edges of the card.

I made the little rosette thing myself without a die - I was well chuffed with myself even if I did manage to burn my fingers a couple of times sticking it together with the hot glue gun!

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 105 - Sketch

Well Hellloooo Everyone

A happy Saturday to you all!



This week's challenge at Totally Gorjuss is to follow a sketch.  I know I keep saying it but I love, love, love working with sketches :o)  So without further ado here it is:

Now this is the first time I have had a go at trying to colour pleats, but I've gotta say I'm pretty pleased with how her dress has turned out, even if I do say so myself ;o)  I have seen some truly awesome images that have used this technique and I am completely blown away by them and definitely need to practise lots more.  For those of you who are interested there is a fab tutorial on the Make It Crafty site and the link is here.
