Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 120 - Yummy

Hey Y'All

Hope you are all well.  I've finally made it back from London so without further ado let's get straight into this week's challenge from Totally Gorjuss where the theme this week is 'YUMMY'.

Our fantastic sponsor is Craftwork Cards; have you seen their on line shop its wonderful - such good prices with super fast delivery too.  So to be in with a chance to win a voucher to spend we want to see all your creations themed around "Yummy".  As always, make sure you check out what the DT lovely ladies at the Totally Gorjuss challenge blog have created for you - awesome.

Here is the card I made for the challenge:

I decided to go on the Yummy Mummy theme and check out that ice cream (not sure about the gherkin though) - if that's not yummy then I don't know what is; it doesn't matter if its freezing cold and in the middle of winter I can always find an excuse to have ice cream - yum yum!

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Stamp:  Saturated Canary "Ice Cream and Pickles" by Krista Smith (love Krista's images)
Papers:  Prima "Jack 'n' Jill"
Ribbon, Lace & Pearls:  From My Stash

The image has been coloured with Copics and Promarkers:

Skin:  E21 E00 E000 R20 R30
Hair:  Walnut / Cocoa / Cinnamon / Tan
Top:  B00 B000 B0000
Skirt:  YG95 YG93 YG91
Ice Cream:  E13 E11 E50 E51
Gherkin:  G29 YG67 YG63
Cherry:  R39 R37 R35

I have edged everything with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and used Liquid Applique with some Glamour Dust sprinkled on top on the ice cream

One more picture to show you of the inside of the card where as usual I follow the same sketch as that on the front:

And that's it.  Thank you for all your lovely comments, I will try and catch up with you all over the weekend although I have a hefty wedding invitation making session to get through.

Have a wonderful weekend whatever you may be doing.

Phew another weekend already!  Where does the time just go too?

I hope everyone is good and I would like to welcome my new followers - "Hello" - I am very flattered that you have chosen to follow me so "Thank You".

Let's gets straight on to this week's challenge at Totally Gorjuss which is a sketch and this week's sponsor is the most fabulous Joanna Sheen.  I do love shopping at Joanna's on line shop as her prices are really competitive and there is no P&P - win, win is what I say!

Here is the sketch that we would like to you follow:

Yup, it's as simple as that.  You can alter the sketch slightly by using a mirror image or even turning it upside-down, as long as we can see that the original sketch is in there then you are in with a chance to win those vouchers.

If your stuck and need some inspiration then nip across to the Totally Gorjuss Challenge Blog and feast your eyes on the amazing creations our lovely DT ladies have made for you.

Here is the card that I made:

What do you think?  How pretty is she - just bloomin pretty I say.

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Stamp:  Saturated Canary "Nevaeh" by Krista Smith
Digi Papers:  Designer Digitals "Gingerbread Runaway"
Lace & Seam Binding:  From My Own Stash
Pearls & Pearl Button:  The Hobby House

Image Coloured with Copics:

Skin:  E11 E00 E000 R20 R30
Hair:  E37 E35 E34 E31

For the eagle-eyed ones amongst you - you will have seen that I have been brave enough to have my first go with my new sewing machine!  I was an absolute wreck when I had to put my coloured image under the needle I can tell ya - (note to self stitch first, stamp and colour second!) LOL.  I have to say though I really do love the effect the stitching creates; I will have to be more daring and try a different stitch type.

Just to finish then - before I bore you all to sleep - here is the inside of the card:

I never realised how bad I am at getting my pictures to look like the real card - in real life the ribbon and lace is so much lighter than this.  If anyone can give me any tips on how to get the colours to look like your cards I would so, so appreciate it.

Okie dokie, that's it from me for now.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay warm!
