MANLY!

Hi Everyone

How are you all?  I hope you have all had a good week.

This is my first week back after the Christmas break - sheesh, doesn't feel like we've had a holiday :-O

It's Saturday already which means it's challenge time over at Totally Gorjuss and our theme for this week is "Manly".

Our generous sponsor for the challenge is Crafter's Companion, so if you want to be in with a chance to win a voucher to spend in their on line store then make sure you get your entries in over at Totally Gorjuss.

Here is the card I have made:

And here's another shot of the front so you can see the sentiment stamp a bit better:

ANOTHER CAS card I hear you all cry!  Well, as some of you may remember, I had an operation on my hand a few weeks ago and I've found that making CAS cards and not spending lots of time colouring is actually helping my hand heal quicker so you will just have to bear with me for a few more weeks until my hand is hopefully back to normal ;;)

The recipe for the card is as follows:

Diamond-Shape Die:  Clearly Besotted - Geometric Style
Sentiment Stamp:  Clearly Besotted - It's Your Birthday

The papers are just some tiny scraps that I had left over which were just perfect for the job and that is it as they say.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend.

ANYTHING GOES

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all well.

Before I get started I have a little bit of news to share .....

I've just found out that I was Runner Up in the Simply Cards & Papercrafts Card Designer of the Year for 2013!!

I am so very chuffed and will share the designs I entered some time soon.

Tuesday already so that means it's challenge time over at Papertake Weekly where our theme for this week's challenge is "Anything Goes" - easy peasey huh!  There is also an optional extra to make something to celebrate something new like a new house, new baby etc or what about a new techique you've never done before, it's entirely up to you.

Our generous sponsor for the challenge is Lili of the Valley so why not come and join in the fun with us over at Papertake Weekly and as always, make sure you check out some of the incredible creations the DT ladies have made for your inspiration.

I have gone with the "Anything Goes" theme and here is the card I have made:

Yup, another CAS card - I am loving these at the moment - there is a certain person responsible for this who will remain nameless although she knows who she is and I'm not sure whether to thank her or hunt her down!  Heh heh heh only joking, she has really inspired me so it will be a definite THANK YOU!

The recipe for the card is:

Leaf / Swirl Die:  Craft Ann - Flourish 3
Butterfly Die:  Die-namics - Butterflies
Senitment Stamp:  Clearly Besotted - Thanks a Bunch
Self Adhesive Pearls:  The Hobby House

I have coloured the die cut butterfly with Copics:  YR18 YR16 YR12

And it's as easy as that!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a good week.

Ta ta for now.

Petal Lu - £10 selection of blossoms

A good friend of mine has started to make CAS (Clean and Simple) cards and she has really inspired me to try it as I adore what she has made so far so I thought I would give it a go for this challenge using some of the beautiful flowers from Petal Lu:

Now I've used a lot of flowers in my time but I've got to tell ya, these flowers from Petal Lu are just exquisite!  They are just so delicate but so, so beautiful, I WILL DEFINITELY NEED MORE!

The recipe for the card is as follows:

Flowers:  Petal Lu
Border Die:  Cheery Lynn - Mesh Hearts (Vertical) Border
Stamp:  Papertrey Ink - Mega Mixed Messages
Self-Adhesive Rhinestones:  The Hobby House

And that's it as they say - a CAS card for me.
