OLD, NEW, BORROWED, BLUE

Well Hello Everyone

How was your weekend?  Wasn't Andy Murray just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  What an incredible game, I couldn't take my eyes of the tv - brilliant!

I hope your week is also off to a good start too ;o)

It's Tuesday which means it's challenge time over at Papertake Weekly and our theme for this week is "Old, New, Borrowed, Blue".

Now this doesn't mean it has to be a wedding (even though I have done a wedding card), it can be absolutely anything as long as it fits the challenge.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is the one and only Whiff of Joy, so if you want to be in with a chance to win a voucher to spend in their on line shop, then get your entries in over at Papertake Weekly and you're in.  As always, check out what the clever DT girlies have made for your inspiration.

Here is my card:

So, something OLD - well that'll be me then ;o);  something NEW - fabulous image from Saturated Canary;  something BORROWED - I borrowed a sketch from Dawny P for my layout;  and finally, something BLUE - the colours on my card.  What do you reckon?

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Stamp:  Saturated Canary - Double Take - by Krista Smith
Papers:  Maja - Vintage Spring Basics
Rose Dies:  Marianne Design Creatables - English Rose and Die-namics - Mini Royal Roses
Leaves:  Memory Box - Tender Leaves
Swirl Die:  Magnolia Doohickey - Leaf & Swirl
Corner Die:  La La Land - Filigree Corner
Heart Stems:  Impression Obsession - Heart Stems
Heart Charm:  The Hobby House - Double Hearts
Rhinestone Sparkler:  The Hobby House

I have coloured the image with Copics:

Skin:  E21 E00 E000 / R20 R30 (cheeks)
Hair:  E29 E27 E25 E23
Dress:  C1 C0 C00

The image has been outlined with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
The papers have been edged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink
I made the sentiment on my computer

I have one final picture to show you of the inside of the card:

And there you have it.

I hope you have a great week whatever you are doing and thank you for popping by.

PAPERTAKE WEEKLY

Eeek I'm late!

Oh my goodness I'm so so late with my post this week for Papertake Weekly! :oO  Never mind, better late then never as they say!

So, it's challenge time over at Papertake Weekly and the theme for this week is "Anything Goes - With an Option of Animal Print" - easy peasy huh!

Lili of the Valley are generously sponsoring us for this week's challenge so if you want to be in with a chance to win a £10 voucher to spend in their on-line store, what are you waiting for?  Get your entries in over at Papertake Weekly and make sure you check out what the lovely DT ladies have made for your inspiration.

Here is my card for the challenge:

Now, this is a card I made a very very long time ago, but still like it.  I was asked to make this for a young autistic boy who was a Hull City fan - now for those of you who don't follow football, the nickname for Hull City FC is "The Tigers" - so I thought this would be perfect for this week's challenge :o)

I made this such a long time ago I didn't keep all the details of the Copics I used for the image and the image is one of Mo Manning's called "Soccer Dude" which I'm not sure you can get anymore :o(

The papers are from Shabby Miss Jenn called "Wild Animals" and at the moment this kit is just $1.00!!!  It's an awesome kit with some fabulous denim and wild animal patterned papers.

Well, I must go, sorry for such a short post - I hope you all have a great week.
