TOTALLY GORJUSS - CHALLENGE 176 - SOMETHING BORROWED

Hello to You All

How are you keeping?  Just how cold is it - brrrrr - come on sunshine it's time for you to make an appearance - pretty please ;o)

"Hello" to my new follower - Christine Collins - thank you Christine for choosing to follow me, I am very flattered and really appreciate it.

It's Saturday again and its challenge time over at Totally Gorjuss and this weeks challenge is "Something Borrowed" and our generous sponsor is the one and only Ribbon Girl.

So, if you want to be in with a chance to win £10 to spend in the on-line store then get your entries in over at Totally Gorjuss and as always don't forget to check out what the lovely DT ladies have made for your inspiration.

Here is my little creation for the challenge:

Now, I can see some of you looking at it and thinking "what's borrowed about that" ;o) well, the story goes I saw someone making something similar to hold chocolates in but the card was sideways on if you know what I mean - or maybe not - heh heh and I wanted to create something to enter the Cardmaking & Papercraft "Cardmaker of the Year" competition back in 2010 and this is what I came up with for the Lili of the Valley section (apologies for the pictures, but I did take these three years ago).

So you see, the idea was "borrowed" ;o)  a little tenuous I know, but I'm sticking with it.

Wow, so much waffle - sorry.  The recipe for the little tissue pack holder thingy (can't think of a name for it!), is:

Stamp:  Lili of the Valley - Get Well Bunny (I so love this little bunny)
Digi Papers:  Pink Petticoat - Little Gingham and Doodle Dots
Flowers:  Wild Orchid Crafts

The image was coloured with Copics:

Bunny:  C3 C2 C1 C0 C00 / R20 (feet and nose)
Grapes:  V09 V17 V25
Medicine Bottle:  YR08 YR04 YR02

I used V01 and the Blender Pen to outline the image

Here is a picture of what the back looked like:

And there you have it.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.

WEE STAMPS TOPPERS - SILVER FAIRY

Hey Everyone

How are you all?

Before I start this post, have you all heard about Bloglovin?

Now for all of you who follow me and receive your updated posts on your dashboard reading list, apparently this facility is going to be phased out in roughly around three months time - don't you just hate it when they change things!

So, I do hope you will continue to follow me by clicking on the 'Follow My Blog on Bloglovin' link at the top of my sidebar.

For those of you who aren't sure about Bloglovin, it is free to join and you will have to open this separately from your usual dashboard, but you can import all of your favourite blogs that you follow in one quick move by clicking HERE.

Right, I'm glad I have got that out of the way so I can get onto my post.

Today I want to share with you another one of those gorgeous pre-coloured toppers from The Hobby House and this one is the amazing 'Silver Fairy' from the Silver Fairy Collection.

Here is the full card:

The recipe for the card is:

Pre-Colour Topper:  Silver Fairy Collection - Silver Fairy - The Hobby House
Papers:  First Edition Dreamcatcher
Pearls:  The Hobby House
Felt for Flowers:  The Hobby House
Flowers:  Mulberry Cherry Blossoms - The Hobby House

I have used Milled Lavender Distress Ink on the edges of the paper
I have used lots and lots of Glamour Dust on her wings and on the butterflies

And that's it.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, whatever you are doing.

Take care

Ta ta for now.

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Me - again - I know - three times this week!!

It's Saturday already which means it's challenge time over at Totally Gorjuss.

Here is the card I have made for the challenge:

Now I must apologise for the poor quality and somewhat squiffy picture.  I made this card a couple of years ago, (before I had a blog), for a friend who wanted me to make a card for his two little boys to give to their Mummy.  As you can tell from the picture I knew absolutely nothing about taking good quality photographs or editing them etc - I did say in an earlier post that it was a blast from the past for me, but I just wanted to share this card with you as I just absolutely adore the image.

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Image:  'Brothers' - Mo's Digital Pencil
Papers:  'Land Ho' - Nitwit

The image was coloured with Copics:

Skin:  E11 E00 E000 / R20 R30 (cheeks)
Blond Hair:  E55 E53 E51 E50
Brown Hair:  E37 E35 E34 E33
Large Boy's Jumper:  BG02 BG01 BG000 / B26 B24
Large Boy's Trouers:  E55 E53 E51 E50
Large Boy's Shoes:  W4 B23
Small Boy's Jumper:  E18 E17 E15
Small Boy's Trousers:  B26 B24 B23
Small Boy's Shoes:  W4
Rabbit:  C3 C2 C1 C0
Teddy Bear:  E27 E356 E34 E33

And that's that as they say.

I hope you didn't mind the poor picture.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

TOTALLY GORJUSS - CHALLENGE 174 - FOR MUM

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Me - again - I know - three times this week!!

It's Saturday already which means it's challenge time over at Totally Gorjuss.

Our theme this week is "For Mum" and our generous sponsor is Crafter's Companion so to be in with a chance to win £10 to spend on their on-line store make sure you get your creations posted over at Totally Gorjuss.  Don't forget to check out the wonderful work the DT girlies have made to whet your appetite.

Here is the card I have made for the challenge:

Now I must apologise for the poor quality and somewhat squiffy picture.  I made this card a couple of years ago, (before I had a blog), for a friend who wanted me to make a card for his two little boys to give to their Mummy.  As you can tell from the picture I knew absolutely nothing about taking good quality photographs or editing them etc - I did say in an earlier post that it was a blast from the past for me, but I just wanted to share this card with you as I just absolutely adore the image.

The recipe for the card is:

Digi Image:  'Brothers' - Mo's Digital Pencil
Papers:  'Land Ho' - Nitwit

The image was coloured with Copics:

Skin:  E11 E00 E000 / R20 R30 (cheeks)
Blond Hair:  E55 E53 E51 E50
Brown Hair:  E37 E35 E34 E33
Large Boy's Jumper:  BG02 BG01 BG000 / B26 B24
Large Boy's Trouers:  E55 E53 E51 E50
Large Boy's Shoes:  W4 B23
Small Boy's Jumper:  E18 E17 E15
Small Boy's Trousers:  B26 B24 B23
Small Boy's Shoes:  W4
Rabbit:  C3 C2 C1 C0
Teddy Bear:  E27 E356 E34 E33

And that's that as they say.

I hope you didn't mind the poor picture.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
