Anything Goes

Well Hello Everyone

I hope Mr Blogger is behaving and you are seeing this as I will be in hospital having an operation on my hand when this goes live - gulp!

Some of you may remember me saying some time ago that I thought I had avoided an operation as a steroid injection seemed to have done the trick but alas no :o(  On the positive side though the surgeon tells me that there is a 100% success rate so if that means no more pain then that's brilliant it will all be worth it.

It's challenge time over at Papertake Weekly and this week we want to make it nice and easy for you as I expect you'll all be busy trying to get everything done ready for the festive season.  So this week's challenge is "Anything Goes" but we are giving you the extra option of doing a "Clean and Simple or CAS" as it's known.

Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Lili of the Valley so get your entries in to be in with a chance to win.

I decided to go for the CAS card:

I made this card using a lovely owl stamp called "Stocking Owls" from Little Claire's which I coloured with Copics.  I outline the image with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and edged all the papers with my favourite Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap.

And that's it.

I hope you all have a good week.

Ta ta for now.

Giving Thanks

Happy Tuesday Everyone

Hope your week is going well.

It's challenge time over at Papertake Weekly and this week our theme is "Giving Thanks".  Thanksgiving is on 28 November so we want to see any project or a card or anything to say "Thank You" and our generous sponsor is The Ribbon Girl.

Now I'm going to share a card with you that I made about four years ago!  This was when I was starting to play with colouring and generally having a good old play.  Like I said, it's old but sometimes I think it's nice to show anything that was made sometime ago as you can see how much you've changed your style etc over the years so brace yourself ......

I did say it was old didn't I!

I have no recipe fr the card although you will have probably guessed that its a Magnolia image and the papers were Kay & Co if I remember rightly; it also looks like I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder too.  Maybe the memory isn't that bad after all!

I hope you will come and join in the fun with us over at Papertake Weekly and don't forget to check out what gorgeous projects the lovely ladies have made for your inspiration.

Have a great week.

Ta ta for now.
